Frosty Fog
After working as a commercial and graphic artist for many years, Jim now
devotes his time to painting. And he takes that time seriously. With
some 21 awards to his name, he is definitely an artist to watch. His
scenes from the American west, its land, people, and wildlife are
portrayed with honesty and originality. Jim looks to the outdoors for
much of his inspiration, and his paintings capture the spirit of the
land and its life, echoing reverence for the natural world in every
painting. Jim says “my ultimate goal is to leave the viewer with
a bit of the inspiration that I felt in the creation of each painting.
I am a painter interested in classical representational painting.
Others may explore new frontiers in art, my objective is to hone the
craft of painting, color, composition, texture, drawing, and technique,
creating natural, rhythmic and harmonious works. The natural world, the
land and the life it supports, are my subjects. Sometimes there's a
story told, other times it’s a mood or effect. I love the fact that my
paintings give joy and inspiration to others.”
